But hentai is not only sex, but violence and brutality too, so this is classified as adult content, I think is is better posted here.

This is the original file name: (18禁アニメ)[うるし原智志] プラスチックリトル(雲海歷險)(無修正). The "(18禁アニメ)" stands for hentai classification, "(無修正)" for uncensored.

hehe I think there's no actual fine line between anime and hentai.....
too bad there is no ecchi category but even the term ecchi doesn't explain several complicated anime/hentai.

if violence and brutality are in the hentai category, what should we call animes like evangelion,berserk, etc... they depicts nudity,sex,violence,brutality all in one package...just my opinion ^_^

but as there aren't more suitable category so it should fit here

however hentai is more popular leaning to sex content, so how do we call those more adult oriented content animes ?

maybe we should make "adult anime" category..... nahhhhh that ridiculous

of course there are not only differences in understanding what is hentai or not, what we nowadays call ecchi was hentai in former times, times are achanging.

But the prefixes we see with the files are made in Japan, so the classification is made there already - and only there, what we think what it really is later is something totally different.

And even the classification in ANN or AniDB can be different already, ANN is harder in that, but normally every anime made for ages 18 or older is a hentai...

I posted a lot of stuff what ANN named adult content but for me it was pure ecchi.

hentai are a very stronge word(it also work in chinese)
ecchi is just a bit "dirty"(still very acceptable and OK to general-public and kids)
violence 18X is just violence not of under 18
and hentai-violence seems to be another matter(violence in an usual way,or crazy mana "hentai" )

animes like evangelion are not even 18X in my eyes,they touch the killing concept so they are 18X?but they are not so crazy...

and talking about normal anime,they are for family,

you shound never ever mix anime and hentai together,you make all the good"guy" become an total "evil" by not understand the words,and certainly hentai is not some word that you can say it to everybody...
