If we were to, the only hard-and-fast guideline would be nudity. Everything else is a judgement call. For example, Rin Aoki's pre-AV work didn't include any nudity, but it is certainly in the spirit of the almost-AV titles which include full nudity.
And we're not really dealing with 'idols' in the sense of singers and such anyway (If people want momusu or berryz stuff, they're not going to find it here regardless.), we're dealing with gravure idols whose profession is to look good in skimpy clothing or nude.

Thanks for the response. I think we could generally rely on the commonsense (?) judgment of the poster. Also, the publisher of the DVD is a good indicator, since most publishers do one or the other. The lack of nudity itself is not a very good indicator, since "chakuero" ("clothed erotica") is now very popular, and often features JAV actresses.
It seems there is just a handful of posters contributing most of the content to the forum, and those posters seem to have a preference for one or the other, so a good place to start (assuming a consensus forms and Chompy agrees) might be to PM the almost-AV contributors and ask them to post that stuff either in JAV or possibly in a new "Almost AV/Chakuero" forum.
