Funny you say this, I'm sort of in a situation like this myself. I met a friend, who is 17 and I'm 32 and we've been taking for 4 months straight for hours over the phone (which she gave me the number, I never asked) and we've gotten very close. However, we told tell certain people of our growing relationship because we know a lot of people would flip over the age difference. A relative of her knows and assumes I'm a stalker and that she is looking for a daddy figure in me.
It's frustrating for us to know people assume she's acting immaturey about her feelings with me. She's not a typical teen, she's quite mature and isn't the lovely dovey sort that has crushes on every other guy like most do; she has her head on right.
