I failed to notice these pages were missing. Thank you very much for pointing this out. It's unfortunate that this happens from time to time. I think it's to be blamed on a specific scanner in Japan: I think it's his personal policy (to ensure that people still buy the magazine, or something), and it sucks when what he leaves out is such a majorly-popular artist's work as Bosshi.
I've ordered 2009-09 and it should arrive soon. I can scan the missing pages if anyone wants to give me good scanning/photoshop modifying settings to scan them with
Everyone and his mother has his own demands. My suggestion would be to look through some of your older magazine scans (e.g. 2009 06, 2009 05, 2009 04, etc) and see what resolutions were used there. May as well be consistent, that'd be my reasoning.
It's easier to go wrong with being too small/grainy than with being too large, so if you want to err on the side of caution, I guess I'd say "make the resolution 1.5x to 2.0x the vertical dimension of your monitor's resolution." In other words, if your vertical resolution component is, say, 1200 pixels, then make the scan 1800 to 2400 pixels. But in the end,
(a) do what works for you, and
(b) see what others have done before you
'cause like I said, if you ask the community for their preferences, lol, you're gonna get the whole spectrum.
