Hello all Akiba fans,
First let me introduce myself, please call me desioner you can view my profile for more information. I've been in Japan now for 4 years and have increasingly collected a lot of comics, DVDs & magazines living here. I know there are some other serious collectors out there and I would like to join you in your efforts to collect. I've been a member of Akiba-online since it's conception last year. I've contributed quite a bit of my collection to the community and would like to continue this trend. I also run my own P2P server and have a great reputation with those that I exchange ideas and information with.
This idea has already been run by Chompy and I have his approval to try it. It's NOT breaking any rules of Akiba-online.
Some of us know that buying your favorite comics, DVDs and magazines can be very, very expensive. In some cases our favorite media might not even be available to us. (shipping out of Japan, local laws, etc…) I'm thinking this is a way to reduce the cost of the media and increase the collection. I'm focusing on DVDs as they are more expensive to collect than comics and or magazines but the idea can apply to all and I might open it to them after receiving comments & feedback.

First let me state the requirements.
1: You must help pay for the media, the more partners the lower the cost. Payments will be handled by PayPal.
2: You must have an e-mail account for contacts and to create and use a PayPal account. It's free to setup and use.
3: You must have a credit card to make payments.
4: You must have a broadband (ADSL, Cable, DSL etc.) internet connection. Able to sustain a minimum 50k upload in traffic.
5: You must have patience to seed out to the partners so that all have a complete copy of the files.
6: You must have enough space for your desired file format ~2GB for mp4 or ~5-9GB for iso.

If these requirements can't be met please DO NOT apply, you will eventually be able to get the files we collect. I will therefore assume that you have read and meet these requirements when I hear from you.

Secondly the way I envision this to work is as follows.
A: I receive private messages and or e-mails about your interest in this project form you. I put you on the list of partners. I'm thinking a week recruiting time is good for each title, as some partners would not want a specific title.
B: After the limit of a week has been reached the partners are then all contacted by me and a final cost is calculated, 1 DVD for example ¥3990÷10=¥399. All partners are aware of each other and what we must pay together.
C: Donations are made and when all are received…
D: The media is purchased and when I receive it I copy/scan it & post it. The original post will NOT be done on Akiba-online as to keep it private to the partners. The post will include; a copy of your desired format mp4 or iso (Yes, the torrent will contain both files. I strongly recommend that you only download the one your prefer. Not both.) high quality cover & artwork scans as well as a bonus photo collection from Layfull if published! Seeds and peers will be regulated by allowing and banning IP's with the torrent software. Only torrent software will be used.
E: Once each partner has completed the original seed it'll then be opened up to the rest of the community as a small low quality avi. (screen shot & sample clip below)
F: The next title in the series is then purchased, and the process repeats itself. Other series & titles are voted on and added to the queue.

Partners found violating these rules will be banned from the group & future purchases.

Having said that let me now explain what I'm after first. I'm very interested in starting with the following series, but once completed others may follow and all partners have a say in what is purchased and can request anything they like, which will be subject to a group vote.
I want to begin collecting Pink Seisyun Woman School 桃色聖春女学園.
There are currently 14 volumes in the series. (4 was excluded due to superstition) There are a few hot spring specials as well as a few singles. For a total of 20 DVDs. Each with a suggested retail price of ¥3990 for a total of ¥79,800! Thats a lot of money for one collector to pay and share for little to nothing in return. So as a group we can all help each other get this and a lot more for far less. There is power in numbers!
Please title your application request "Almost AV DVD Club". It would also be nice if you included a little information as well, telling me why your interested in the club.

First off, I don't have the upload requirement so I can't participate directly.

However I own vols 1,2,5 and 中等部編 (The volume on middle part/Middle class section compilation depending on the translator), which I only now realised is not part of the series proper. I think part 4 was replaced by the 2 vol Hot Spring Training, and theres also a T-back Hot Spring Training vol., all of which are, as you say, Pink Seisyun Woman School titles. Even without those 4 there are 10 main titles now, with 2 more on the way. Plus the single girl vols, I don't know if you meant to include those. I wouldn't be surprised if vol 13 comes out before the project is completed!

Anyway the reason I'm posting: one issue I found that might be helpful for you to know is Layfull fill the second layer with a huge number of trailers. When backing up my copies, I've had to remove all this, even then the movie proper sometimes came to just over the 4.4 or so GB that will fill a single layer. So I split them onto 2 discs to get around this, as dual-layer burning has always been unreliable for me, though obviously this step could be done by the downloader themselves. I hope that will help reduce the filesize of the ISO's you share.

EDIT: of course you may know all this already since you have vol 10, sorry should have read first post more carefully...

Since these titles fall between Jr titles, which now appear to be getting blacklisted by amazon, and adult titles, which are widely available on torrent and bootleg sites, I think you've hit on a good series to work with in terms of lack of availability elsewhere. I hope if it works out, you'll consider the Thong School series, which fits into the same niche...

Thanks for the information thermidor. I'm as familiar as I can be with Layful and the Peach series. I think it is an amazing series and hope to complete it by the end of this year. Vol. 11 has just been released as well so I wouldn't be surprised if by the time I'm finished with the series as a whole there are 14 volumes. + the singles and specials.
Ah yes, the thong school series, I found that Amazon has those two for sale.

I don't really have the budget, energy, or devotion to be a regular member of this group but I'm sure I could kick you guys a DVD or two when I get my hands on them. Not that I can really participate directly but will all the DVD's be of a sexual nature, seems to be from what has been posted so far. Though all the DVDs I buy are actual movies, porn is best got off the net.

The movies will mostly be Junior in nature. The beginning series is quite sexual in nature but without being explicit. We'll expand on the collections as we like and the group is open to all genres available.
It's understandable but unfortunate that you won't be able to join us. I hope that it becomes a fast and powerful resource for most of the users here @ Akiba. Only time will tell.

desioner, you might already be aware of this but thong school 1 is now in downloadable candies, thanks to akichan, who has mentioned he might post the sequel when it comes out, so you won't have to buy those!

Thanks for the heads up thermidor. I checked out the thread, but the fact that the DVD was segmented as VOBs and is only available from Mega Upload has lead me to still want to collect it. Perhaps if someone who downloaded it were to re-upload it as a torrent then I'll get it. But if it stays as a direct download I'm not gonna grab it. Akichan, also uploaded a great Ayay video as well.

I'll look into the manufacturer of that one as well.
